Great to see behind the scenes and how it all works. I was invited to be a guest in the studio to offer expertise about Winter Sports. Working as a pundit for Rachael Latham, Ade Adepitan and Arthur Williams we ran through full mockup shows. Hope it improved their Winter Sports general knowledge in preparation for Sochi 2014. Thanks to Edi and Sam @ thinkBIGGER for the invite and look forward to working with you all in the future ;)

Mar 2013

After a few sessions with the amazing Lily Newman (MorganJamesConsulting), honing our skills and teaching us the effective way to deliver our stories, the day arrived. 4 out of 11 x-Military guys on the Frontline books presented to an audience of 170 people at the home of Lancashire Cricket. A fantastic evening, my talk well received and great to listen to some of the other lads harrowing stories of overcoming adversity and just cracking on with life.!

SnowKite Rig mk3 - Successful Testing Session

Nov 2012

After months of R+D on the new rig, it was finally ready to take to the snow and see how it skied at Milton Keynes, SnoZone. It sits real low and very light in comparison to previous models. It uses the lower leg frame from the Glide Bi-Ski made by HOC (Hands on Concepts) who kindly donated me it to test, Thanks Steve. Thanks also to Draft Wheelchairs (especially Ryan) for building the subframe to hold my seat and legs. The narrower stance made quick switches a dream and was so easy to use. Cant wait to get it on snow with a Kite......

Skiing for Heroes - Fundraising evening

Nov 2012

A mate asked me to get involved with 'Skiing For Heroes', a charity helping those recently injured on active service. I appreciate the power Skiing has as a rehabilitative tool and along with a framework to mentor other areas of their life, the charity will also aid injured personnel back into the workplace.

The venue - Two Temple Place, London. Wow, what an amazing evening.! Not used to hanging out in such company - bank owners, major CEO's, Royalty, etc.....

A talk from Martin Hewitt, Walking with the Wounded star, North Pole and Everest Expeditions rounded off a top night. Looking forward to the first trip to Klosters.

Ride Across Britain (RAB)

11 Sept 2012

Our leg - Ludlow to Haydock - 106miles - 9h30mins

RAB has raised over 1 million pound for ParalympicsGB over the last 3 years.

Tim Farr and I were asked to do a leg from Ludlow Racecourse to Haydock Racecourse. The route took in some fantastic scenery, quiet country lanes, gorgeous properties and bypassed most of the major towns on route. Along the way we chatted and rode with many of the 700 riders, who were on day 4 of the 9 day gruelling trip from Lands end to John O Groats. Much respect guys n girls.

Tough at times, 106miles later in 9h30mins ride time, we completed our journey! Knackered but pleased to finish!

We said our Thanks at the briefing that evening to all involved for supporting paralympic athletes and were then honoured to hear from Sarah and Barney Storey (with Medals) telling us all about their London Paralympic success. Respect.!
